MET bike helmet Terranova MIPS
Compared to a conventional MTB helmet, the Terranova has an enlarged head cover and is therefore particularly suitable for demanding all-mountain, trail, and E-MTB riders.
The construction and fit are inspired by the award-winning MET Roam and guarantee optimum comfort.
The injection-molded visor is adjustable without tools and designed to be flexible so it won't break in the event of a crash.
This unique feature helps to dissipate rotational forces that can act on the head and neck in the event of a fall.
Internal air channels maximize ventilation and ensure a comfortable fit even on long rides.
The Terranova with the MIPS-C2® brain protection system was developed in close cooperation with MIPS® to achieve highly efficient ventilation while improving the helmet's safety functions.
The helmet floats on the head and effectively dissipates the rotational forces from the head in the event of a fall.
MIPS® technology
MIPS-C2® technology separates the shell and the liner with a thin plastic layer called the Low Friction Layer (LFL). This LFL, which is attached with four rubber elastomers, allows the helmet to float on the head and effectively dissipates the rotational forces from the head in the event of a fall.
BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM
Featuring the MIPS-C2® brain protection system, the Terranova is able to slide relative to the head in the case of a crash, redirecting damaging rotational motion.
ADJUSTABLE VISOR
The visor is tool-free adjustable and flex injected to bend when there is an impact against it. This unique feature helps to manage extra rotational forces transferred to your neck in a crash.
VENTILATION
The internal air-channeling of the helmet allows a highly efficient ventilation.
