Shimano took these requirements into account when developing the Linkglide components. Both on e-bikes and everyday bikes, the specially reinforced and optimized components allow smooth gear changes for a stress-free riding experience for years to come.
The XT LG600 cassette largely contributes to the extremely long service life of the Linkglide drive. Compared to the Shimano Hyperglide cassettes, the shift gates were designed in such a way that the shifting processes are a little slower, but softer and smoother. With the high chain tensions typical of e-bikes, the durability was increased by 300% compared to Hyperglide cassettes. Even as the service life progresses, the Linkglide design still ensures smooth shifting in both directions and a smooth chain run. With a gradation of 11-50 teeth, even the steepest ramps can be climbed.
