Assistance up to 25 km/h

The electric drive of the Haibike Trekking 4 mid desert is active up to a speed of 25 km/h when pedaling and thus complies with traffic regulations. It is possible to move with assistance, only up to this speed. This is a safe and comfortable speed, especially when moving around the city. After exceeding it, it is possible to accelerate the bike, but without the support of the motor. The bike does not slow down or brake on its own. Of course, it is possible to deactivate the assistance at any time and move the bike without the support of the motor. Thanks to this, the bike is versatile. You can ride it with minimal effort or do a workout. Or quickly drive up the hill and quickly descend it.

Frame made of aluminum

The frame of the bike is made of aluminum. Thanks to the use of this material, it is possible to create a fairly light, very durable frame with an original shape. The frame is durable and stiff, which means that the bike will last for years. It has good driving characteristics and reacts quickly to steering movements, which is important when suddenly avoiding a pothole or other obstacle. The maximum load capacity (weight of the bike + luggage + cyclist) is 130 kg.

A good drive in a bicycle is the most important thing

Haibike Trekking 4 mid desert has 1x9 gears. The Shimano Altus M2000 rear derailleur, Shimano HG200 11-36T rear sprocket and crank are responsible for shifting gears. The KMC e9S chain is responsible for transferring the drive to the rear wheel.

The ALTUS M2000 series inherits the best features borrowed from higher models such as the Alivio / Deore and allows for efficient, precise and quiet shifting. With its refined design line, the new ALTUS series adds a unique look to every bike. However, appearance is not everything. The Shimano Altus M2000 is made with Shadow RD technology, thanks to which the derailleur is better protected against damage. In addition, the ALTUS M2000 series provides higher shifting precision compared to its previous versions, and the derailleur cage distance adjustment spring makes it easier and faster to install and remove the wheel.

Full Capabilities and Precise Control

With the Yamaha PW-TE mid-engine, you can go pretty much anywhere. This is the most universal and desirable type of motor installed in electric bikes. It runs smoothly, has more torque than the rear-wheel hub drives and is more sensitive than them. It reacts quickly to the terrain and the way we pedal. Thanks to the fact that it transfers power to the wheel through the chain, this support is very smooth. After some time, we stop noticing that the engine supports us, but we feel our greater capabilities. The synchronization is just perfect! Riding the Haibike Trekking 4 mid desert is deceptively similar to riding a traditional bike, but it is lighter. The engine is placed low. This lowers the center of gravity of the bike and has a positive effect on maneuverability and control of the bike. At the same time, it does not drastically reduce the ground clearance, so necessary when overcoming larger obstacles.

Automatic support

The Haibike Trekking 4 mid desert bike has a Yamaha PW-TE central motor. This is a new generation model with the PAS system for electric bikes. It is designed for everyday cyclists and bicycle tourists. It perfectly supports the cyclist during climbs. The Yamaha PW-TE is equipped with as many as four sensors: 1st crank rotation, 2nd speed, 3rd pedal pressure and 4th inclination. Thanks to them, the motor can automatically detect what terrain you are driving in and adjust the power assistance to the conditions on the fly, for the smoothest ride. When climbing it will support more than when riding on flat terrain. The automatic function can be deactivated and four support modes can be used instead: Eco+, Eco, Standard, High. The maximum torque is 60 Nm. After turning off the power assistance, we can enjoy a free, light ride.

4A Fast Charger

You will receive a 4A charger with the bike. It looks like a laptop power supply, although it is slightly larger. You can use it to charge the battery in the office or apartment (after removing the battery from the bike), as well as park the bike in the garage and plug it into charging (without disassembling the battery). After 800 charging cycles, the battery should maintain about 60 – 80% of its nominal capacity. You can learn more about charging and using the battery in the manual that comes with your bike. The approximate time to charge a 500 Wh battery to 100% is about 4 hours!

Power supply from inside the frame

The newly designed frame allowed the battery to be placed inside the frame. Thanks to this, the Haibike Trekking 4 mid desert does not look like an electric at first glance. This had a very positive effect on the balance of the bike, as well as on the protection of the battery. It is additionally protected against weather conditions and impacts. The bike works on 36 V . A fully charged battery (500 Wh ) allows you to ride up to 100 kilometers at once! It can be charged in the frame and after removing it from the frame using the charger included in the set. Minimalist and easy-to-read LCD display

The Yamaha A display is equipped with a 1.7-inch LCD screen. In the case, next to the display, there are also 5 buttons (up and down arrow, ON/OFF, WALK, light switch). Despite its small size, it shows all the necessary information such as: current speed, battery charge level, degree of assistance, number of kilometers traveled and range.
