Giant TCR ADVANCED 1 - Carbon Road Bike
Built to be even faster
Whether you're climbing, cornering or launching an attack, this new carbon road racer is made for the moment. It's lightweight, efficient and built for speed to give you a competitive edge in any situation. Newly integrated components such as the Contact AeroLight stem ensure a slimmer, more aerodynamic profile. The Variant seatpost offers just enough compliance for a balanced, race-ready ride, while the generous tire clearance (up to 33 mm) and smooth-rolling wheels ensure you're fast on both smooth and bumpy roads.
Features of the Giant TCR ADVANCED 1 - Carbon Road Bike
- The frameset, wheels, cockpit and other parts have been designed, developed and tested as a system.
- Fully integrated cable routing for a tidy look.
- Lightning-fast electronic shifting with Shimano 105 Di2.
- Streamlined tubeless ready carbon rims.
- Revised carbon aero tube design for a better stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation.
- The oversized bottom bracket area has a fully integrated 86 mm wide profile.
- Symmetrical chainstays provide additional stiffness on the drive side and stability on the non-drive side.
- The Advanced Carbon fork has a symmetrical design and aerodynamic shape
- A generously dimensioned down tube and top tube ensure outstanding lateral and torsional stiffness of the front wheel.
- The precisely designed, rectangular shaped down tube ensures unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.
- The lightweight handlebars and stem are aerodynamically shaped and feature a flat handlebar head with raised edges to ensure a stable aero position.
Technologies of the Giant TCR Advanced 1
Advanced Composite Technology - GIANT's high-performance carbon fiber is used to make this special carbon frame material, which is woven and processed in-house and has an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front frame triangle is molded as a single piece. The modified monocoque construction eliminates the outer braided composite layer. This reduces weight without compromising ride quality, stability or stiffness.
Compact Road Design - The Compact Road design was introduced by GIANT in the 1990s with the professional team ONCE and revolutionized the look of high-performance road bikes forever. A sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It makes it easier for riders of all sizes to get the perfect fit.
Tubeless System - Fewer punctures. Better traction. Less rolling resistance. GIANT'sTubeless System makes mounting easier and provides extra riding fun.
Advanced Composite Technology
Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Tubeless System
Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
Compact Road Design
Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.
PowerCore
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
- Shimano 105, 36/52
- Shimano 105 Di2
